Monolith Rhinos
Frontier Conference · Horizon Division · Physical, run-first, power
Profile
“Impose the run. Wear them down.”
The Monolith Rhinos play football the old way. Their offense lines up under center in the I formation, with a fullback and often a second tight end, in the tradition of Nebraska's power-I and the gap-blocking schemes of Greg Roman. The message is simple: we will tell you where we are running and you still will not stop it.
Power, counter and lead plays make up the core of the playbook. In short yardage and at the goal line the Rhinos bring in jumbo and heavy packages with extra linemen. Play-action comes off that running game and is most dangerous in the fourth quarter, when tired linebackers bite on the fake.
Rhinos games are physical and often low on possessions. The longer the game goes, the more their size tells. Their weakness is the scoreboard: when they fall behind early, their offense is not built to catch up fast.
Identity: brute force, efficiency, dominance.
