Rules, privacy & legal

Rules: play money only

Play money · No real winnings · 18+ only

• Snapline is an American football simulation. Every game is played by a computer engine; the teams and players are fictional.
• Picks are made with play money that has no value. You cannot buy it, cash it out, transfer it or win any prize, money or item of value with it. No real money, ever.
• Snapline is meant for adults: 18+ only.
• Snapline does not promote real-money gambling and does not show gambling advertising.
• If gambling is a problem for you or someone close to you, help is available — in Belgium: aideauxjoueurs.be / gokhulp.be.

Privacy policy

What we keep on our server

• Player key: a random identifier created by your browser, so your play-money wallet and picks follow you.
• Account (optional): the username you choose and your password, stored only as a salted hash (scrypt). We never ask for your name, email or phone number.
• Picks and play-money balance; your favorite team; the private leagues you create or join.
• Reminders (optional): if you turn them on, the push address of your device given by your browser, and the games you ring the bell for. Turning reminders off deletes the push address.
• Technical logs of our host (IP address, page requested, time), kept for security and operation, and a short technical report from the game screen (window size, sound state, display errors) to fix bugs. Your IP address is also kept briefly in memory to slow down abuse (for example repeated wrong passwords or league codes).

What stays in your browser

Settings, theme, bet slip, watched games and your player key are kept in your browser's local storage (gc-… entries). They are needed for the site to work and are never used for advertising. You can delete them at any time by clearing this site's data.

Advertising and cookies

Advertising is currently on. When it is on, ads are served by Google AdSense. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, a consent message (Google's certified consent tool, IAB TCF v2.2) asks you first: Google and its partners only use cookies or similar identifiers to personalise ads if you agree. If you refuse, you may still see non-personalised ads. Gambling advertising is blocked. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Audience statistics

To know how many people visit Snapline, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It sets no cookie, stores nothing in your browser and does not identify or follow you from one visit or site to another: it only counts page views and collects the page, the referring site, the country and the type of browser and device.

Why and how long

We use this data to run the game you asked for (your wallet, picks, accounts, leagues and reminders) and, for advertising, on the basis of your consent. Game data is kept while the service runs; an account and its picks can be deleted on request.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your data, object to its use, or withdraw your consent at any time (button above). Write to the contact below. You can also complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority (dataprotectionauthority.be).
