The Forge Bison believe games are decided in the trenches. Their model is Wisconsin football: big offensive linemen, inside zone and duo runs, and play-action out of two-tight-end sets. On defense, the push comes from the middle of the line rather than from blitzing linebackers.
The Bison run the ball to set up everything else. Duo, a downhill run where double-teams move defensive tackles off the ball, is the signature play. Once safeties creep forward, the quarterback fakes the handoff and finds a tight end or receiver behind them. Their mobile quarterback adds a scrambling threat when protection breaks down.
Bison games are about attrition. Expect long drives, a strong pocket for their passer and steady pressure up the middle on the other side. Teams with smaller lines find their afternoons getting longer.
